The Regulated Healer: Trauma Informed Foundations For Practice 8- Hour CE (in person)

$289.00

This in-person, experiential course introduces massage therapists to the principles and practical application of trauma-informed care within massage therapy sessions. Participants will explore how trauma impacts the nervous system, perception of touch, and therapeutic relationships, and how to adapt massage techniques, communication, and session structure to support safety, choice, and regulation.

The course emphasizes ethical, scope-appropriate practices rather than diagnosing or treating trauma. Therapists will learn to recognize signs of nervous system activation, respond effectively to client cues, and create treatment environments that reduce the risk of re-traumatization. Hands-on practice will focus on consent-based communication, pacing, pressure modification, draping considerations, and grounding techniques that support client autonomy.

Through a blend of lecture, discussion, self-reflection, and guided hands-on exercises, participants will gain practical tools they can immediately integrate into clinical practice. This course is appropriate for licensed massage therapists and massage therapy students seeking to enhance client-centered, nervous system-informed care.
